Following three years of frustration, fueled by ridiculous price premiums for aluminium and a snail's-pace delivery schedule, US drinks canners have been firing accusations at global banks. The banks are accused of playing a cat-and-mouse game to manipulate aluminium prices. While their shenanigans add only a fraction of one cent to the cost of each can, the beverage industry estimates it has added an extra $5 billion to their costs in the last three years. Now that's something worth fighting over.
