Aerosol canmaking

An impact-extrusion press for producing aerosol cans and metal tubes offers manufacturing speeds of up to 300 strokes a minute. Called the X150S and developed by German company Schuler, the press has been installed at compatriot canmaker Tubex, for the production of aluminium aerosol cans. The high production speed is facilitated by the slide movement of the knuckle joint of the machine, which unlike conventional presses features four joints, reducing the speed of movement during the formation process.
