As illustrated here, final and proposed changes in federal regulation of deposits and payment systems continue to be challenging for financial institutions and their lawyers. Given the recent restructuring of the deposit and payment systems regulatory environment, as well as current economic and financial conditions, change and challenge will likely be the norm for the foreseeable future.
