Pioneer architecture centre provides a new port of call

The country's first purpose-built regional architecture centre opens in Bristol this week; smaller-scale centres already exist, others are in the pipeline, but as yet there is nothing to match the scope of the Bristol centre - it is a pioneering venture that will set standards against which later UK centres will be measured.
