In one of the most inventive townscape regeneration projects in recent years, this spring Liverpool-based BCA Landscape completed a £1 million environmental improvement project for the Lancashire village of Burscough Bridge. The firm - working with design consultancy Smiling Wolf - planned to reaffirm the village's identity with a series of squares and pedestrian routes inspired by local myths.
