The Critics

摘要

In this 1948 classic, Cary Grant plays advertising executive Jim Blandings, who harbours dreams of fleeing New York City. When a site in nearby Connecticut, complete with dilapidated farmhouse, comes up for sale, he buys it and sets off to build a more idyllic existence with his wife, played byrnMyrna Loy, and their children. Like many before and since, the dream house conversion turns into a nightmare for Grant's character as builders, bills and a troublesome architect, played by Reginald Denny, foil his progress.
