The RIBA Manser Medal has always encouraged innovation in house design, to show how social and technological ambitions can be met by intelligent design and to produce exemplars to the wider house building industry.As part of the RIBA Awards since 2003 it has since been presented at the RIBA Awards Dinner and latterly at the RIBA Stirling Prize Dinner, even twice muscling its way on to television.The RIBA Manser Medal relaunched in June 2010 at the 2009 winner, Gap House in London, with HSBC Private Bank (PB) as the exclusive sponsor for 2010-11.Eligibility to enter the award reverted to one-off houses only and thanks to HSBC PB's generous sponsorship, the prize money has doubled to ￡10,000.
