Foster + Partners has a deserved reputation for achievement in the overlapping areas of technology transfer, refinement and a sophisticated form of eclecticism. A recent manifestation of this approach is the Arc dining table, designed for the Italian furniture company Molteni&C. It is formed from Ductal, a high-performance concrete, previously used by Fosters in building construction projects, comprising cement, fine sand, silica fume and silica flour, with a low water-to-cement ratio.
