摘要

The collapse of the ARB's case against me (seepage 5) is a welcome justification for the investment that I, and many others who supported me, made over the past 12 years. The lead up to the capitulation started in 1998.The Architects' Registration Council of the United Kingdom (ARCUK) had been replaced by the ARB, which promised to be a lean list-keeper that would be bound down to the essential tasks of keeping the register, prescribing architectural qualifications and reproving those who failed to maintain standards. Parliament was clear: all else, including CPD and insurance matters, were excluded from its minimal responsibilities.
