Torfaen County Borough Council in Wales is on the hunt for an architect to take on the 'sympathetic' restoration of Pontypool's 1893 indoor market (pictured). The contract is worth £150,000 and requests to participate must be submitted by 2 August. London Gateway - the new deep-sea container port currently under construction in Essex, 25 miles from the capital - is procuring services for the design and construction of a new port building. The quayside project includes a workshop, operations facility, a canteen and staff amenities. Requests to participate must be made by 25 July.
