摘要

End of an era was the phrase I heard most when I announced that I was stepping down as head of communications at BDP, followed by 'When's the party?' It's a role I've been at for a while. When I joined BDP 30 or so years ago, I was recruited to edit the monthly in-house magazine Contact. It is still going strong, although now it is DTP'd, PDF, FTP'd and intranet'd, rather than the longer process involving typesetting and galley proofs - and I am as sure now as I was then that internal communication is as important as external.
