Perched at joint 70th, the Birmingham-based Associated Architects has impressively reached the shortlists for both New Member of the Year and Practice of the Year for the Midlands. Key projects include a £25 million refurbishment of Denys Lasdun's Charles Wilson Building at the University of Leicester and a £20 million redevelopment of John H Madin and Partners' Post and Mail complex in Birmingham.
