The Waddon masterplan creates a new neighbourhood and this first phase redevelops four sites, providing 119 affordable, sustainable and accessible homes. These include a significant number of family houses and a variety of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments situated around a new shared courtyard and linear park. The scheme has been designed with a hierarchy of character areas that reflect their location and context. The residential buildings form a series of landmarks along the frontage of the site, with lower-rise courtyard housing to the rear and terraces of large family houses.
