Hadid sues over Qatar article

The New York Review of Books architecture critic, Martin Filler, has apologised after Zaha Hadid launched libel proceedings against the magazine. In Filler's review of the book Why We Build by Rowan Moore, he said the Stirling Prize-winner had 'disavowed responsibility' for the conditions facing workers on projects in the Middle East and that thousands had died building her Al-Wakrah stadium in Qatar. Deaths of workers on schemes in the emirate, which will host the Fifa World Cup in 2022, have been widely reported. But the construction of Hadid's stadium has yet to begin and there have been no fatalities on the project.
