The Heron and Milton Court development is the first major residential development in the City of London for more than 30 years and has expanded the City's cultural quarter. Structurally, the buildings are completely interlocked. The massing is articulated into two distinct elements, reflecting its two primary uses: residence, as well as a music and drama school and conservatoire. The 608-seat concert hall and 223-seat theatre has extended the range of performance venues across the Barbican to offer students professional-standard facilities and attract new audiences to the City.
