Technological developments have allowed Crossrail to deliver a BS1192 aligned information management suite and leverage huge value from the platforms created. By establishing a common data environment, Crossrail has empowered teams to aggregate a myriad of data sources to make smart infrastructure creation and management at every stage of a project from design through construction and into new operations and maintenance. The need to include data in infrastructure maintainer systems is requiring Crossrail to establish and maintain a single source of reliable asset information and related asset information and models. The aim is to migrate this to multiple operators and maintainers.
