Q In a nutshell, describe your practice A Built By Us is a unique, non-profit consultancy specialising in disruptive diversity in the UK construction sector. I founded Built By Us because I hate to see wasted talent and potential. If architecture and construction continue to attract, progress and retain talent in the way it has done for many decades, it will continue to miss out on the wide and diverse talent pool that could be contributing to the built environment. We support entry pathways for people underrepresented in the sector to find their career in construction. We are also focused on retaining and progressing existing talent through our innovative and award-winning FLUID Diversity Mentoring Programme, which assists individuals by meeting them where they are on their career journey and providing learner-led support. We also work with businesses to radically shift their equality and equity focus to drive the creation of more inclusive workplaces.
