Zero Carbon House, Birmingham, by John Christophers (2009)

John Christophers extended and converted this end-of-terrace Victorian house in Birmingham into a carbon-neutral home for himself and his family, a project which completed in 2009. The energy-efficient retrofit used low-energy materials and environmental systems such as rainwater harvesting to achieve Level 6 of the benchmark Code for Sustainable Homes.
