Applying the dynamical-statistical method of calculations of the ice redistribution in the White Sea for the solution of climatic and prognostic problems

A model for calculations of the redistribution of the integrity and thickness of the drifting ice in the White Sea for the autumn, winter, and spring periods is described. The results of the tests of the technique are presented together with the estimate of the provision and efficiency of the calculation method as compared to the results of calculations with the data of mean annual maps and charts of airborne ice observations. The potentialities of the practical application of the model for solution of climatic and prognostic problems are demonstrated. (PUBLICATION ABSTRACT)
