AgResearch is a Government-owned Crown Research Institute focused on supporting the pastoral sector through scientific research and development. Our purpose is to enhance the value, productivity and profitability of New Zealand's pastoral, agri-food and agri-technology sector value chains to contribute to economic growth and beneficial environmental and social outcomes for New Zealand. This includes research to maximise the profitability of producers and processors of New Zealand's most important textile fibre: wool. We undertake research into wool and wool products across several research teams with expertise in textile technology, fibre science, biomaterials and protein science.
