When a textile machinery manufacturer launches a new development, the target for the unveiling is normally a major textile show such as ITMA, ATME or OTEMAS. But not so for Nuovo Vamatex. When the Italian weaving machinery builder flew in the face of tradition and launched Leonardo, its most advanced negative rapier machine, company officials felt the importance of this achievement was such that its presentation to the industry must be immediate rather than keeping it under wraps for presentation at a major exhibition.
