In his Inaugural Address Shri Subodh Kumar, Textile Commissioner congratulated the Federation and the winners of Export Promotion and Research & Development Awards and wished them all the best in their future endeavours. The Textile Commissioner stated that any industry, especially the machinery manufacturing industry became highly competitive if it depended mostly on indigenous developments. Many a manufacturer in the textile machinery industry was non-dependent on the MNCs. In this connection, the bulk of the credit went to LMW who not only developed/upgraded their own machines, but also their pricing policy was highly praiseworthy even though they were the dominant players in the domestic market and having access to world class machinery. It was no small a measure to produce the machines and market them at highly competitive prices. The Textile Commissioner thanked LMW for the same.
