With only 5 months remaining for the historic occasion marking the dismantling of "Trade Quotas", the possible impact of the changing market dynamics is already looming large on the horizon. Indian exporters of textiles & clothing are busy drawing up their future plans to meet the emerging challenges arising out of the new situation. The new trading regime and imminent competitive pressures are already forcing the suppliers world over to refine their strategies in seeking new areas of growth and opportunity. In this context, it is widely believed that "Home Textiles" is one area where India has the ability to match any competitor in the world as it has the requisite strengths to establish itself as a leading sourcing center.
