Van Heusen re-negotiating rentals, plans more stores

Van Heusen, the premium formal-wear brand from Madura Garments, plans to capitalise on prevailing low rentals and set up more stores even as it has pared its growth to 15-20 per cent this year, a top company official said.rn"We are re-negotiating rentals for all our 55 exclusive stores and the response has been positive. We are renegotiating rents anywhere between 20 per ent and 40 per cent," Van Heusen's COO, Mr. Shital Mehta, said.rnVan Husen is especially focusing on those stores which are not making profits in line with its projections, Mr. Mehta said, adding that since all its stores were viable, there was no need to shut down.
