摘要

30s Ne Polyester / cotton blended treble rove yarns of proportion 33/67 was manufactured by employing heating zone at the spinning triangle of a ring spinning machine, in order to make the polyester fibre to occupy the axial portion of the yarn structure to improve the fabric characteristics made out of these yarns. Yarn cross section was also studied to confirm the position of polyester and cotton fibres in the yarn structure for both the yarns produced with and without heating zone. Single jersy fabrics were produced with the yarns produced with and without heat zone and were compared for their mechanical characteristics such as dimensional, wicking, abrasion and pilling characteristics. The enriched heat treated yarn treble rove yarn fabric showed better characteristics than regular treble rove feed yarn fabric.
