摘要

1. From the product testing it is found that there is not much difference in the growth rate of the sapling in polythene and cotton bag. 2. The shape of the bag doesn't change until about 45 days. 3. Many times, shifting a sapling from poly bag into soil bed disturbs the roots, thus hindering their healthy growth. In some cases fiddling with the roots while transferring the matured sapling leads to its death too. Contrary to this in case of fabric bags, once planted roots remain planted forever protected and intact. 4. Polythene bag is always removed while planting the plant in to the soil bed. However, in case of 100% cotton bags we can plant the sapling as it is along with the bag which degrades rapidly. 5. Degradation requires approximately 3 to 4.5 months, which is very favorable. 6. The cotton bags are 100% bio-degradable. 7. The pollution due to poly bags at nurseries can be controlled and can provide a new horizon for recycling and re-using.
