Engineering Design of Woven Fabrics for Specific Properties

摘要

This paper deals with the engineering design of woven fabrics form both domestic and industrial applications. A software program, MECHFAB, is developed to optimize fabric structural [arameters based on specifications of the eight most commonly used physical and mechanical properties. In order to find themost economicla solution, a cost function for woven fabrics is established and used in the program as the objective function.
