Innovations in computer-aided design and manufacturing continue to arrive thick and fast, far outstripping progress in any other field of development. The impact of computerisation on manufacturing in every field has been phenomenal in terms of increased speeds and reliability, reduced manpower and all of the attendant quality and control benefits these are bringing. This progress shows no signs of coming to a halt, as was exemplified at this year's ITMA, and the possibilities of the Internet, advanced digital will be shaped beyond recognition.
