SPIDERweb, Rieter's spinning mill data collection system, supplies the necessary information on quality and production and machine processes. Data transparency at all stages of production is an important factor in successfully operating a spinning mill and continuously optimising production. The increase in production speeds of spinning machines calls for increased online monitoring in order to be able to intervene quickly and selectively in the event of faults. With the new UNIcontrol and UNIcommand blowroom control units, all blowroom machinery can now be connected to the SPIDERweb system. Data is collected from all Rieter blowroom machines as well as from the fans, valves, waste transport and third-party machines and data is displayed in both tabular and graphic form. This enables capacity utilisation and operating states to be analysed. Anyone can call up displays with the degree of detail they require and the system report provides management, in particular, with a very rapid and simple overview of the spinning mill as a whole. A report on the entire spinning mill can be drawn up for each completed shift with a click of the mouse. The main production information from all machines is sorted by machine group and products are listed and summarised.
