At the Ethical Fashion Show held recently at the prestigious Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, France, London College of Fashion graduate Ada Zanditon won the Creativity Prize for her promising first collection. The Ethical Fashion Show was created in 2004 by Isabelle Quehe to demonstrate that ethical fashion can combine with cutting-edge design for social and environmental benefits. The 2008 event brought together collections from over 130 international designers presenting collections in designerwear, ready-to-wear, sportswear, streetwear and accessories. Ms Zanditon's styling focused on using volume to create relaxed shapes - Lisa Snowden and Joan Collins have both been photographed wearing her creations. The prize is for Ms Zanditon to work with the Creatheque Studio to customise a range of linen fabrics for Spring/Summer 2010. Helping designers of ethical fashion is part of the future strategy of CELC, the European Confederation of Flax and Hemp.
