Culp sales up 17% in Q3

Mattress and upholstery fabric manufacturer Culp has recorded net sales of $60.5m during the third quarter of the fiscal year 2012, a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2011. The company also reported that during Q3 its mattress fabrics sales were up 24% and upholstery fabric sales rose 9%. And pre-tax income was $2.9m, or 4.8% of sales, compared with $2.9m or 5.6% of sales, in the prior 12 months. Frank Saxon, CEO of Culp, said: "We are very pleased with the continued momentum in our sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2012.
