Where next for China's textile industry?

China is changing from a manufacturer for the world to an open market for the world and the urbanisation process will bring new opportunity for the textile industry both domestically and overseas. That is the view of Sun Ruizhe, of the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC). Speaking at the International Textile Manufacturers Conference, held in Bregenz, Austria, recently, Mr Sun said that the predicted annual growth rate of China's urbanisation from 2010-2030 will be one percentage point and each year there will be 13-14 million people moving from rural areas to cities.
