Modernising the apparel industry

US-based start-up Sewbo has been developing industrial automation solutions for garment manufacturers since 2015. Only a few years later, the company has unveiled a unique solution to sew garments using only robots – a huge feat for the industry. Although the Industrial Revolution was born from the textile & apparel industry, it has slowly lagged behind its industry peers in the development and adoption of automation technologies. Limitations in fabric handling left manufacturers dependent on human labour to sew together garments and left robotics completely out of the picture.
