Blockchain faces challenges to adoption in textile industry

The road to blockchain adoption in the textile & apparel supplychain is littered with challenges tied to technical, social andentrepreneurial requirements, say researchers from QueenslandUniversity of Technology (QUT), Australia.In a webinar as part of Manchester Fashion Institute’s 2ndDigital Fashion Innovation e-Symposium in June 2021,titled ‘The challenges of blockchain adoption for the circulareconomy’, Cait Hopper, research assistant, and Hilde Heim,postdoctoral researcher, from QUT, outlined several challengesand opportunities related to the use of blockchain in aim ofcircularity.
