Restructuring of mills essential to stabilise textile industry

In October 2002, the South India Textile Research Association (SITRA) came out with a report titled "A Study to Assess the Financial and Operational Strengths and Weaknesses of Spinning Mills" for rehabilitation of potentially viable spinning mills. The report was later submitted to the Ministry of Textiles.
