Heimtextil India, international trade fair for home and household textiles & accessories

Leading players from the home textile and furnishings industry in India and abroad, have responded with gusto to the announcement of the relocation of Asia's largest home fashion fair - Heimtextil India to Mumbai. The fifth edition of Heimtextil India is scheduled to be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, from 10 to 13 October 2004. "The optimism in the industry can be seen from the fact that within a month of opening bookings, the fair is already three fourths full," says Ms. Shammi Nagpal, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt India. "Industry heavyweights such as The Bombay Dyeing & Mfg. Co. Ltd., Grasim Industries Ltd., Dicitex Decor, Synergy Lifestyles Ltd., Radici Fibres Noyfil (Switzerland) and the well known high fashion brand name Shyam Ahuja, have signed up enthusiastically, sending signals to the rest of the industry, who are responding likewise."
