In the present age, modern weaving technology has reached the stage of shuttleless weaving. This technology has been developing for the last 50 years and there has been no new or better weaving technology in the offing. Among other things, the major advantages shuttleless looms provide include 4 to 6 times higher production than that of shuttle looms, less value loss of fabrics (due to minimal fabric defects), low consumption of stores & spares, and lower noise level.
