King Tex KT 566 - III High-Speed Rapier loom (which received ISO 9001:2000 certification) is driven by a triphase 5.5 kw special motor. An electromagnetic clutch-brake assembly guarantees the quick starting and immediate stoppage of the mechanism. Shed formation is performed by a elec- tronic dobby (16-20 shafts). The space four-bar linkage guarantees the soft weft transportation. The weft is inserted from left side and the hand-over procedure is completed in the middle of shedding. Reed pedestal is separated from the weft-insertion mechanism. The conjugated cams drive the beating-up mechanism and the beating-up stroke is smaller than usual, depending on the 16-mm narrow tape and the small grippers.
