Exports of Indian Synthetic and Rayon Textiles

Exports of Indian Synthetic and Rayon Textiles were valued at Rs.852.96 crores in rupee terms and $184 : 58 million in dollar terms during September 2006, registering a growth of 24.33% in rupee terms and 18.21 % in dollar terms, when compared with that of the exports in September 2005. Exports of Fabrics constituted 47.11% of the total exports followed by that of yam (29.65%), Made ups (13.34%) and Fibre (9.90%). The cumulative exports during April-September 2006 were Rs.4212.52 crores in rupee terms and US$917.68 million in dollar terms, as against the exports of Rs. 3601.26 crores and US$ 824.43 million in dollar terms during April-September 2005, registering a growth of .16.97% in rupee terms and 11.31% in dollar terms.
