Material Vision trade fair to be held parallel to Techtextil in Frankfurt from 2009. From 2009, Avantex, International Forum for Innovative Apparel Textiles, will be an integrated part of Techtextil -International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens. Aimed at optimisingprofitable synergies through overlaps and interactions for exhibitors and visitors, the new concept has been decided in agreement with the exhibitors and Advisory Council. Given that the requirements of product developments in the individual disciplines are frequently related, the inclusion of Avantex as a product group of Techtextil under the motto 'Avantex Integrated' means that better use will be made of information and technology transfers optimised. For example, innovations in the field of 'smart textiles' are closely linked with developments in the tech n ica 1-texti les sector.
