Knitting of silk and silk-polyester yarns spun on cotton system

Pure silk and silk-polyester blended yarns present no problems in knitting. The knitted fabric shows higher bursting strength, abrasion resistance, air permeability and pilling tendency but lower thermal resistance than a cotton fabric knitted under identical conditions - the third and final article of a series by the same authors in this section for February and March.
