Will EU preferential origin rules do any good?

The EU custom codex committee decided on September 21 to approve the Commission proposal for new origin rules for the Generalized System of Preferences. Thus, everyone has just over three months to prepare before the GSP rules of origin takes effect at the start of next year. It is always the same with EU, too short implementation time. In this particular case, the EU has been working on these rules since 2003.rnThe second part of the new system, which is the verification part, will not come into force before 2017; maybe not until 2020.
