At its 100th birthday annual general meeting last month, The Textile Institute elected Andreas Weber CText FTI as its new world president and John R. Wilson OBE as chairman of its council.rnMr Weber is a member of the executive board of SwissTex Winterthur AG of Switzerland, as well as its senior vice president for sales, marketing and parts. Mr Wilson is the deputy chairman of the UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT).
