Ageless denim offers new options for fashion

Invista's Lycra and Lycra dualFX technology for making denim with cotton or cotton-polyester blends have been around for sometime. Now, the same technology is being applied to make denim using cotton blended with Tencel which is a fibre developed by Lenzing. Denim thus produced was presented at the latest Kingpins show in Hong Kong in March. Mills have previously experimented with Lycra and Tencel but often encountered problems like the fabric not keeping shape or puckering due to seam slippage. Invista and Lenzing have therefore worked together to improve the aesthetic performance of stretch fabrics.
