The blurb on the back cover, identifying Yorkshire Television (YTV) as "one of the greatest television channels of all times", might be a touch over the top. But Yorkshire folk don't applaud modesty.There is no doubt that YTV punched way above its weight, generating quality and quantity on screen, nationally and regionally, from its launch in 1968 to the Granada takeover in 1997.
