The first MAX-XL exchange from C-DOT was commissioned into service on 27th December 1995 at Indira Nagar in Bangalore. The exchange is currently operational with 8,160 subscribers. The enhanced technology provides for 40,000 subscriber lines with 6,000 inter exchange junctions. The exchange supports 3,00,000 Busy Hour Catling Attempts, The next exchange based on this technology wilt be a Trunk Automatic Exchange to be installed at Ratlam in MP Circle. This TAX will be having the SS7 signalling capability.
