MPLS-VPN SERVICE

The demand for data transmission on telecommunication network has tremendously increased in recent past. The Service Provider has to meet the demand of the customer who wants high quality of transmission environment with greater speed of operation for their data networks. The new Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technique, which blends both Layer 2 and Layer 3 functionalities of OSI supports high quality as well as high speed. The customers' leased line data circuits connected to Managed Leased Line Network can be configured into private network to offer them MPLS based VPN (Virtual Private Network). In this article, the scope of MPLS-VPN has been explained with details of the network components, architecture, objectives and principle of working.
