摘要

WIMAX (Wireless Interoperability for Microwave Access) forum is promoting the deployment of Broadband Wireless Access network by setting the profiles based on IEEE 802.16 standard. WIMAX is also instrumental in harmonization of IEE 802.16 and the European Telecommunications Standard Institute's (ETSI) High-performance radio Metropolitan Area Network (Hiper MAN).
