Georgia PSC Awaits Word From Legislature on Term Limits

The Georgia Public Service Commission has decided to wait for the state's General Assembly to act before it changes the method of electing its chair.rnThe PSC had voted 3-2 in May to scrap the current system of rotating the chair's position among commissioners every January. A new system was put in place where the commission elects its chairmen to serve two-year terms instead. As part of that decision, the PSC tapped Stan Wise to become the first elected chairman and Lauren "Bubba" McDonald Jr. as vice chairman, eachrnfor two-year terms beginning July 1.
