FCC Backs NPRM to Revamp USF Rural Health-Care Program

The FCC has approved a universal service rural health care notice of proposed rulemaking that would expand the kinds of facilities that could apply for funding and the costs covered under the $400 million program in hopes of expanding the reach of broadband in medically under-served communities across the country.
